Taught by professional educators, songwriters and touring musicians, this experience will allow participants to find power in their voice while developing and strengthening relationships with individuals who have shared similar experiences.
Nashville Star alumnus, US veteran and hit songwriter David St. Romain leads the SOS team in creating content for the songs and developing them through drawing out information from the participants then organizing those ideas into verses and choruses. David’s approach is to have fun and laugh a lot throughout the process.
Doug Gay is a seasoned session and touring musician, as well as a long-time music educator. Doug is also a recording tech and lends his skills to the SOS team by recording the songs and creating additional music tracks to help bring the songs to life, then mixing the songs down to distribute to the participants.
Sarah Burke is an accomplished songwriter and multi-instrumentalist with years of experience in music education. Sarah helps the SOS team by working with participants on creative writing and rhyming in order to structure their lyrics in a way that their message comes across in just the right way.
